Set custom tile color in Windows 10 Mobile
To set new tile color in Windows 10 Mobile, you need to specify BGR color (in some devices ABGR or other color format) in SpecialColor integer in registry, so at first we need to pick it up.
Important. To follow bellow instructions you need to Interop unlock your phone and install Interop Tools.
To get the BGR code of the color, we can use this website (at this page you can convert the palette to any desired color model). Pick up the color you want and find its BGR code in More Conversions tab.
Important. In different devices color conversion format can be different too. That’s why you need to make some experiments and pick up the correct color format exactly for your device. In case your smartphone does not support the color format you picked up, you can face with Interop Tools app crash.
Now we need to make changes to registry. Open Registry Browser and go to branch:
In the list tap on SpecialColor and specify the BGR (or other) color you picked up before.
Tap on Write, close Interop Tools, close the config window (optional), reopen it, navigate to Colors config and you will see your new color in the list.
Tip. It’s better to note your color code by default, later this can help you to recover default settings in case you need it.
In the same way you can set custom colors for every color option on the settings.
