Today most of the people are using Android and most of them wants to keep their photos, videos or even their apps (like Whatsapp and others) safe and private. To achieve this, we often use App Lock, one of the most popular app for securing and making files private on Android. App Lock basically creates a lock which requires pass code or password to unlock and view files. But sometimes user can forget the password and then want to view files locked by App Lock without unlocking. Sometime users also lock File Manager and other apps which provide access to the files. In such cases they require a method to view files locked by App Lock without unlocking. Methods below will help you in case you don’t remember your password or pattern lock. So let’s start!
It’s important to notice that we are not going to use any cracks. Below are the two genuine methods to discover files which were locked accidentally.
Method 1: File Manager
If your file manager is locked with a password, you must install similar software from the Play Store.
- Open Google Play Store.
- Find an application for “file manager for android”.
- Install any that you like.
Since the new application was not password protected, through it you can access files that were not accessible before.
At least now you can find out the file names of the files you need. Of course, in the same way, you can install other applications for multimedia or working with documents (depending on which programs were previously blocked) to interact directly with files. New sharing applications (like Shareit) will also work successfully, with which you can send files to another mobile device.
Also,, you can use any Internet browser as a file manager (if lack of anything else).
- Open any Internet browser (Brave, Firefox, Chrome).
- Open a new tab and enter in the address bar
or, if you don’t open it,
From here, you can view the files that the browser supports, such as photos, books of some formats, text documents.
Method 2: Import data to PC
Using the convenient method of connecting to a computer, you can send all the necessary files to it from the phone. This is especially convenient in Windows 10 applications, such as Photos. To do this, you must first bind the mobile device to the PC:
- Open “Windows Settings” → “Phone”.
- Press “Add a phone” and follow the simple instructions to add a device.
- If successful, your phone will be in the list of attached devices.
Now let’s look at an example of importing photos to a PC. Connect the phone to the computer in advance using USB and select the “File transfer” connection mode.
- Open the Photos system application.
- In the upper right corner, select “Import” → “From a USB device”.
- After a while, a list of possible files to import appears. Select what you need and click “Import selected”.
Folders will be created in the Pictures directory with names indicating the months in which these photographs were taken.
If you select the method of connecting to the PC “Transfer photos”, a new device will appear in Windows Explorer, in which you can manually select photos and screenshots and place them in the desired folder.
